Original Art - Assemblage; Collage & Mixed Media

Similar to collage, but more 2D, assemblage art is the embellishment of an original drawing of mine. The drawing can range from a portrait of an animal or a person, and for example the hair (or in the case of an animal – hairy ears), is embellished with a variety of pieces of odds and ends; from sea shells to nuts and bolts; beads,                                                                                         buttons or chains to cutlery, seed heads and watch faces.

Either left at this stage showing clearly all the pieces used, or painted white with                                                                                      perhaps the addition of colour.
