My take on the famous Frida Kahlo self portrait with Thorn Necklace. Hand drawn portrait, cat and monkey. Collaged foliage and flowers with assembled pieces of twigs and bark (for the necklace and dress). Embellished with rhinestones, and a trimming. Finished with several coats of a high shine gloss.

Sophia Loren
The beautiful Sophia is surrounded by collaged flowers, in warm tones of reds, yellow, and orange. The top coat of glossy Hyperion really brings out the warmth of these colours. A thick layer of gold glitter is added on top of the Hyperion in the top third of the painting. Gold leaf is used in the lower two thirds. Lots of gem stones and rhinestones are used to embellish all over, some under the glossy top coat, some on top.

Elegant and sophisticated to reflect the opulence of Tiffany's, The famous 1961 film'Breakfast At Tiffany's' was my inspiration for this piece, and of course beautiful Audrey Hepburn.Shades of greens in the foliage and 3D silk flowers, the background and the numerous gems, contribute to create harmony in this piece.

Iconic Twiggy
Inspired by the 1970's, and of course the famous model Twiggy. In the main the colours here for both the background and the 3D silk flowers range from red through to orange to peach and pink, which is contrasted with yellows. One of my early pieces of resin art (which I used to begin with), and quite simple in as much there are less embellishments and adornments. Its a smaller, square piece, whereby the flowers are quite dominating.

Kurt Cobain
Silvery greys, black, white with subtle green and purple make up this artwork of the late Kurt Cobain. The half strength opacity of the purple and green, break up the otherwise monochromatic colours. Rhinestone embellishments in muted tones are used to edge the collaged flowers, giving them definition. Several coats of high shine gloss varnish have been over the entire piece to finish.

Art Deco Twiggy
Twiggy, again, who could lend herself effortlessly to so many faces. Instead of flowers for the hair, here I've used jewels and broken jewellery. Again, fairly simple to what my art has developed to now. A resin gloss coat covers the whole with just a few additional embellishments on top.

Marilyn
Marilyn Monroe - an inspiration to so many artists! I've taken pieces from one or two of her films. The black background of this piece brings out the pale subtlety of her blond hair, which here I've kept to pale yellow, and white 3D silk flowers. Gold leaf and glass mirror pieces are used to create a bit of opulence, and resin coats the entire piece with the silk flowers as always on the top - as is her fur stole.
